Otherkin
Otherkin are those who consider themselves to be not completely human. Their are many different view points out there on how this happens, but in general most consider it a spiritual being that makes up a portion of their being.
Most of these beings are from other plains of existence, or animals native to our world. This includes, shifters, elves, fairies, selkies, vampires, phoenix, dragons, and many more.
Shifters- Shifters mainly consist of creatures from this plain of existence, most commonly wolves, but also cats, bears, foxes, eagles, ravens, even rats. These beings go through what has been properly named shifts. A time when their mind, body, astral body, auric energy, or dreams, shifts into animal state. This could happen in a combination, or just one. Many shifters don't experience one at all, and experience the others quite often, or experience one but not the others. Just because you don't experience some of these shifts doesn't mean you are not a shifter. If you are interested in finding ways to achieve other areas of shifting, I will look for some information to post. I believe draconcats fit into this category, due to the fact that I experience shifts, though some believe dragons cannot be shifters.
Otherworldly- Those who carry the spirit of creatures from another plain of existence, realm, dimension. In general these people do not experience shifts, they simply are these beings at all times. Included here would be, elves, fairies, dragons, and many others. Many of these beings have dreams, and memories of their past lives in another world. They sometimes also carry allergies from the past life, as well as character traits. If anyone would like to submit more information, or better information on this subject I would give you credit for your work.
Vampires/Vampyres- Unlike popular folklore vampires are not the undead. Many live amongst us. They may feed off blood, psychic energy, natural energy from the environment, or a combination. In theory it is said vampires have very low and insubstantial energy levels, therefore they must receive energy from another source.
